Why Singapore should not be complacent

Singapore is a developed country and has many achievements, however, even with great achievements, Singapore should not be complacent. If Singapore is complacent, the country will not be able to improve as a country and other countries who have been working hard would easily overtake us. Also, as a small country, we do not have natural resources and have to depend on other countries to provide us with these resources for survival. Hence, despite the achievements we have, there will still be times whereby Singapore will require the help of other countries and hence we should not be complacent.
